Hot Tub Water Testing | Safe & Healthy Hot Tub Water

The important of Hot Tub Water Testing

The importance of hot tub water testing is to make sure that the water in your hot tub is safe for use. There are many things that can go wrong with the water in a hot tub and it's important to take care of these problems before they escalate.

Here are some common problems with hot tub water:

  • Cloudy or milky appearance
  • An unpleasant odor
  • Unusual foam or scum on top of the water
  • A slippery feel on the surface of the water

All of these problems can occur from inproper attention to testing and dosing your hot tub. When using sanitisers, both high and low levels can be dangerous.

The dangers of not properly testing hot tub water

Some people who have used hot tubs have been injured by bacteria in the water, with some even dying from it. The dangers of not properly testing hot tub water are very real.

To avoid these dangers, it is important to maintain the correct level of sanitiser at all times.

Use hot tub test strips to prevent bacteria growth resulting from low sanitiser levels

We recommend using hot tub test strips to monitor the sanitiser levels in your hot tub. These strips will change colour to indicate whether or not the sanitiser is at an appropriate level. If the test strip indicates low levels of sanitiser, apply more immediately.

The use of hot tub test strips is a cost-effective way of monitoring your water chemistry and preventing bacteria growth in your hot tub.

How to Test for Safe & Healthy Hot Tub Water

There are many things that people can do to test the water in their hot tub. One of the most common ways is to use a test strip. These strips will measure the levels of chlorine, alkalinity, pH, and temperature.

There are also other ways that people can test for safe and healthy hot tub water. They can use a water testing kit or they can contact their local pool store to have them come out and take a look at the water.

How to use Hot Tub Test Strips

The hot tub test strips are used to determine the health of a hot tub. There are two main types of strips, one for chlorine and the other for bromine. The first type of strip is dipped in the water and then shaken to activate it. If the strip changes color, then there is either too much or too little chlorine in the water. In contrast, if the second type of strip turns pink, it means that there is either too much or too little bromine in the water.
