Which Swimming Pool Chemical Kit Should I Buy?

We sell a number of different swimming pool chemical kits so here is a short guide on how to choose. Our kits are split into basic swimming pool chemical starter kits for new pool owners (containing the basics such as a sanitiser, some pH balancers, and test strips), opening, closing and recovery kits (for prevention and elimination of algae), and cleaning maintenance kits.

Basic Pool Chemical Starter Kits for New Pool Owners

We have two options of basic pool chemical kits. One with chlorine granules and the other with chlorine tablets. The kit with tablets comes with a floating chemical dispenser. Tablets are generally recommended when checking less frequently, as they are slow dissolving.

We have two kits for dealing with and preventing algae outbreaks. One for sand filter pools and one for cartridge filter pools. Also perfect for both opening and closing the pool at the beginning or end of the swimming season.

Pool Cartridge Filter Cleaning Kits

This chemical kit is perfect for cleaning and degreasing pool and hot tub filter cartridges, which extends the lifespan and reduces expense when compared to simply replacing the filters.
