Pool Shock Treatments
Weekly boost and problem solver for your pool water. Pool shock products sanitise the water, helping to keep it clean and safe for bathers by applying a dose of high strength chlorine.

Shock treatments work by applying a dose of high strength chlorine once a week or as and when a boost in sanitisation is required. It is wise to apply chlorine shock doses at the end of the day so chlorine can work unhindered by sunlight.
WARNING: Chlorine levels after a shock dosing (sometimes called 'super-chlorination') are extremely high and bathing should not be allowed until the chlorine has returned to safe levels, as indicated on your test strips.
Why Pool Shock? Can't I just use regular chlorine?
Your standard chlorine is "stabilised", meaning it is designed to hang around for a longer period of time. Pool shock chlorine is "non-stabilised", meaning it's designed to be used at a higher dose as it will burn off and return to safe levels much faster. This makes it ideal as a problem solver. If you did the same thing with your regular chlorine, it would take much longer after super-dosing before test strips indicate that it is safe again to use the pool!
